  1. Are you sure that the torque spec for the water pump is accurate? You have it listed as 14-19 ft-lbs but that seems really tight. Other online sources appear to state that it’s only three bolts (not four) and they should be torqued to only 8 to 11.5 nm (71 to 101 in. lbs.).

    1. Not sure what other sources you are referencing but, or a Mazda MX-5 Miata (NC generation), the torque specification for the water pump bolts is **14-19 ft-lbs (19-25 N-m)** according to known sources. If you have proof otherwise let us know.
